Secure server
When you connect to a secure web server, such as our
check-out procedure, you ask that server to authenticate itself. This
authentication is a complex process involving public keys, private
keys and a digital certificate. The certificate tells you that an
independent third party has agreed that the server belongs to the
company it claims to belong to. A valid certificate means that you can
have confidence that you are sending information to the right place.

Credit card and debit card payment handling
We use Protx to provide secure online credit
card and debit card payment handling.
All transaction information passed between us and the Protx is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No
cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages
sent to our servers from Protx are signed using MD5 hashing to
prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that
nothing we pass to the Protx servers can be examined, used or
modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive
information.

MasterCard SecureCode are new services for Visa and MasterCard
credit cardholders which allows you to shop more safely on the
Internet. A private code, known only to you, gives you added
protection against unauthorised use of your card when you are
shopping with online with us. This new service benefits both you the
shopper and us the store; not only does it ensure that that only
legitimate transactions are charged to your card, but it also allows
us to immediately despatch the goods to you. You can sign up to the
service with your card provider at no cost or when you proceed to
purchase through our Checkout.
Credit Card Fraud
For your own security and to prevent credit card fraud all payment
information is checked when submitting an order on our website. We
treat credit card fraud very seriously. Our Fraud Prevention Team
operates highly sophisticated fraud detection process and system. Any
person who commits fraud against AV-Sonix Limited will be prosecuted.
